PRUNUS cerasifera ‘Krauter Vesuvius’ - Purple Leafed Plum

Characteristics:
Foliage: Deciduous
Exposure: Full sun
Bloom Season: March. Pink flowers.
Growth Habbit: Upright to 15’ x 10’
Soil Preference: Well drained.
Notes:
Low maintenance. Hardy to 15 deg. f. Other varieties may substitute. Resists deer and rabbits.

PUNICA granatum - Pomegranate

Characteristics:
Foliage: Deciduous
Exposure: Full sun
Bloom Season: June - August. Red trumpet-shaped
Growth Habbit: Low branching to 15’ h. x 15’ w
Soil Preference: Well-drained soils
Notes:
Other smaller varieties exist such as ‘Chico’ and ‘Nana’

Characteristics:
Foliage: Evergreen
Exposure: Full sun Light shade in hotter climates
Bloom Season: April - July. Repeatedly throughout the year
Growth Habbit: To 30’ h. x 25’ w
Soil Preference: Well-drained
Notes:
Plant is damaged below 30 deg. f. Should recover.

Characteristics:
Foliage: Semi-deciduous
Exposure: Full sun
Bloom Season: Variable. Repeatedly in some ares.
Growth Habbit: Fast grower to 12’ x 9’
Soil Preference: Well drained.
Notes:
Hardy to 15 deg. f.

ACER palmatum ‘Crimson Queen’ - Japanese Maple

Characteristics:
Foliage: Deciduous. Leaves turn bright red in November.
Exposure: Full sun or part shade
Bloom Season: Not pertinant
Growth Habbit: Mounding to 8’x 7’.
Soil Preference: Well drained.
Notes:
A somewhat delicate plant. Leaves will brown if in an undesireable spot. Place in protected area.
